Sneak Peek: Rachel and Brian

It’s hard for me to pick a favorite photo from Rachel and Brian’s wedding day, since there were so many warm, loving moments to choose from. I think I’m going to go with one from their ceremony, which was short and sweet, as intended, with all their favorite people surrounding them in their favorite place. They said “I do” in a sunny patch of forest that backs right up to the Hudson River on the grounds of a retreat house and camp where Brian’s family has been spending vacations together for decades now. This is actually the sixth family wedding to take place there, and everyone- and I mean EVERYONE- pitched in to make their day beautiful, from uncles who did all the catering and groundskeeping to moms and aunts (and bride) who did all the decorating and flower arranging. In fact, I think I had the privilege of being the only hired vendor there, come to think of it. To be taken into a circle of family friends and trusted in that way is truly an honor, and I thank you. The newlyweds are currently driving from Oregon to Southern California with no particular set agenda, but I do hope you find an internet connection somewhere to check these out between adventures. Enjoy the Pacific coastline (I’m so jealous; it’s supposed to be an incredibly photogenic drive- take pics and think of me!) and enjoy your sneak peek!
