Hello! I am back from Africa and all is well. Well, mostly. I have been on some sort of unplanned blog hiatus in no small part due to the fact that we had a freak snowstorm last Saturday that knocked out the power, and we haven’t gotten it back yet. I’ve been working at Panera, in my car and occasionally via an extension cord running into the studio from an inverter in the cigarette lighter of my car. I know.
But we’re luckier than most. We have hot water and a wood stove to stay warm by. We can cook if we light the burners with a safety lighter, but in truth, kickin’ it “Little House on the Prairie” style isn’t my favorite. The novelty has most definitely worn off. I’ve got a couple sessions ready to upload, and I really (really, really, reallyreallyreally) hope we’ll have power again soon. Unfortunately, the Internet and cable wires were snapped clean off the house first by a falling tree branch, then by a passing snowplow, so it will be a little while until everything is back online, so entries may be sparse.
