My absolute favorite image from this wedding was taken during the dove release after the ceremony. Rose arranged this as a special surprise for Brennan outside the church, and watching the birds take flight into the perfect cloudless sky made me really excited for the happy couple’s new beginning.

There was so much love in the details of this wedding, from the eucalyptus leaves and the small Catholic charm in the bride’s bouquet to the dove cake topper to the couples’ choreographed first dance to Arabic drumming on the dance floor. There’s a deep connection between Rose and Brennan, one will sustain them on this roller-coaster ride we call marriage, and I was so touched to be a witness to the very start of this new adventure.

I’ll end this with a quote from Khalil Gibran, whose collected works they gave each of their guests as thank you gifts.

“You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness, and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone.”

I am a crazy animal lady, as we all know, so I was so happy to meet this sweet pup for our third, yes THIRD part of Mairead and Kevin’s engagement session. In an ideal world, we could have done the holi toss one day and all the spring and parade photos the next, but Spring came awfully late this year. Like, absurdly late. Mairead and Kevin definitely wanted to get some photos on the college campus where they met, so since three sessions were what was needed, THREE IT SHALL BE.

And now we have a 6-month break until the wedding. I’m sure ut will be here before we know it!

First of all, Chris’s mom is wonderful, and it was obvious during the mother-son dance that Chris adores her. I hope I’m not going to embarrass you, Chris, by saying how deeply touched I was by the emotion you displayed while dancing with your mom. I got misty-eyed just watching you. The only moment that was more touching, in fact, was watching Victoria wipe her father’s tears away during *their* special dance.

I just can’t tell you how much I genuinely enjoyed not only with Chris and Victoria, but also with their families. Their parents, the groom’s grandmother, both Chris and Victoria’s siblings, and even their siblings’ significant others were so lovely all throughout the day, even when a cool breeze made our photo session in the park a bit chillier than should be allowed in the end of April! I thank you all for your patience and endurance during that part!

This was my first Armenian wedding, which I just loved, and there were a lot of similarities to Greek weddings, with the bride and groom wearing crowns during the ceremony and guests tossing dollar bills over the happy couple on the dance floor to wish them luck at the reception. I have so many favorite photos from this wedding, I could hardly pick them for the sneak peek! More than a handful of my favorites were taken by my extremely talented second shooter Tom Nycz. Congratulations, Chris and Victoria! Both sets of your parents are clearly expert role models of marriage. I know you’re going to be so happy.
